   RMI had a meeting with the faculty of the Limerick branch of Middlesex University. We are now another step closer to getting this academic option off the ground. We will be negotiating over the next couple of months until all of the RMI Core Faculty can gather for an academic meeting during the August RMI courses. During this meeting we will discuss and design each of these three degree options for RMI courses.

   These degree options will go live sometime in late spring 2013. According to Middlesex University, the diploma and bachelor’s degree will take some time getting through the academic approval process of the university. For the master’s degree we have more flexibility. We are hoping to go live with this option starting in April 2013.


Overview of the Diploma in Remote Medicine
1. Finish the WEFR & REMT courses.
2. Enroll the Middlesex University.
3. Do 16 weeks of online modules from Middlesex.
4. Submit all of your paperwork and online modules to Middlesex.
5. Receive a Dip in Professional Practice (Remote Medicine).

COST: est. £2500 
not including RMI course tuition



Overview of the BSc in Remote Medicine
1. Finish the RMI Paramedic course.
2. Enroll the Middlesex University.
3. Do 12-24 months of online modules from Middlesex.
4. Submit all of your paperwork and online modules to Middlesex.
5. Receive a BSc in Remote Medicine.

COST: est. £6000 
not including RMI course tuition



Overview of the MSc in Remote Medicine
1. Finish the RMI Remote Medic Practitioner course.
2. Enroll the Middlesex University.
3. Do 12 months of online modules from Middlesex.
4. Submit all of your paperwork and online modules to Middlesex.
5. Receive a MSc in Remote Medic Practitioner.

COST: est. £6000 
not including RMI course tuition

A lot of the finer details are still in negotiation. The name of the degree is one of the key points in the ongoing development. The final product will be something similar to what you see here.

The costs for the degree include the RMI course costs plus the rough quotes from Middlesex University. 

RMI and the university will iron out all the necessary details in order to have these degrees up and running by mid 2013.
